Troy Rowland’s Nov. 14 fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will be the third of four bouts on the pay-per-view telecast and immediately precede the Miguel Cotto-Manny Pacquiao main event at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, a spokesman for promoter Top Rank Inc. said.
Rowland-Chavez will be preceded on the telecast by one title bout, a 12-rounder between World Boxing Association junior middleweight champion Daniel Santos and Yuri Foreman, and a 10-round welterweight fight between Alfonso Gomez and Jesus Soto Karass.
Dave Packer, who manages Rowland of Cedar Springs, called the television placement of Rowland-Chavez “exciting.”
