Pacquiao Overlooking Cotto?- Say it isn’t so Manny, please don’t tell me that you too are buying that ol Miguel Cotto is finished goods. These past few days we have been hearing Manny taking shots at Mayweather. First we heard Manny say that Floyd does not want any part of him, then we heard Manny say that Floyd is not a big draw, now even great sparring partners are joining in as we are now hearing Pacquiao’s sparring mate, Jose Luis Castillo say that Manny is faster and stronger than Mayweather. From where I am sitting it appears to me that Pacquiao is already thinking a few steps ahead by already trying to reel in a bigger fish. Manny is thinking of bigger fish to fry when he still has to deal with jaws less than two weeks from now. I hope that I am seeing way too much into this, but Manny my man please don’t overlook Cotto because I can promise you that Jaws is not overlooking the fisherman on the deck. Jaws is coming at you, and Jaws is coming at you with the intention to take everything that you currently hold. My advise to you Pac-Man is to come across that ring as you always do, with the force of a killer typhoon, because Miguel Cotto, you know the man they say is finished goods, Well Cotto from what I’m hearing is coming to smack fire out of you. Yonnhy Perez beats up King Kong- About a few hours before this fight I got a text message from Rob, Rob was wanting to know my pick on this clash. My answer was King Kong by late KO, I just felt that King Kong is the type of super busy fighter that never allows his opponents to get set. I figured that sooner or later Agbeko would catch up to Perez and nail him with a fatal shot. Rob’s anser back to me was that he felt that Perez was going to stun Agbeko and come away with the nod. Kudos to Rob for being able to see something special in Perez. Point blank that’s exactly what it was, Agbeko was his old self and Perez was special. Perez to me was the busier fighter and that is what won him the fight. I would love to see Perez take on Anselmo Moreno, what a boxing match that would be.
Mosley vs. Berto?- Seriously, let’s get this fight done already. This fight right here is BOOM! Boom is when you throw a bunch of dynamite in a ring then you run back to your seat and enjoy the explosive show. I know that Mosley wants this fight, but I don’t feel that Berto is in any hurry to share the ring with Sugar Shane. I could be wrong though, maybe Berto really does want this fight. One has got to ask however, if Berto really wants this fight then why has the contract not been inked yet? We know it aint Mosley who is putting this fight on ice, Mosley has been itching to get in the ring. Maybe Berto has a price in mind and is not going to sign until that price is met upon. Truth be told, Mosley is a huge risk to get in there against. If one is going to roll the dice on Shane then they will for sure seek for a handsome return. If that’s the case, Berto should just stop with the hold up and give Louie Collazo a much deserved rematch. If I’m Collazo right about now I would be trying to get Isaac Hlatshwayo in the ring and take his strap and then force Berto and his team to turn his way.
Cunningham/Adamek 2?- Now that Adamek smashed Golota, I guess that means that we will not be seeing a Cunningham/Adamek rematch any time soon. I got no problem with Adamek smashing heavyweights, heck I welcome it with open arms. However, the thought of Adamek fleeing the Cruisers without giving Cunningham another shot to redeem himself makes me sick to my stomach. I feel that Adamek left some unfinished business on the table. The first fight was a classic, the rematch would have been even better. The storyline for the rematch was all there, can Adamek put Cunningham away this time and repeat the feat? Will the master mind of Naazim Richardson in Cunningham’s corner prove to be the difference this time around? Would have been great to find out the answers to these questions, but oh how far the answers seem now.
R.A. The Rugged Man- My new Hero- It was first an interview heard by the underground hounds but now it seems to be the interview heard round the world. Thing is that it wasn’t even an interview, it was more like a verbal beatdown. The beatdown was so brutal that I was forced to throw in the towel from my couch as I was listening to the audio. I mean somebody had to be the one to save Floyd from taking any further punishment. R.A. The Rugged Man has been spitting venom since the early 90’s and it’s clear to hear that his boxing knowledge is just as ill as his sick to def lyrical style. To be recognized as the nicest, one must step up and face the nicest. That is the only way to really measure the skills, it will not be until then that we will then find out who is really what they say they are. In each ones profession, one must really seek to be great, one shouldn’t settle for less. I am not comparing inking a verse to getting in the ring to get your face smashed in, but in R.A. The Rugged Man’s resume you will see that he has went up against some of the most feared mc’s in the game. From Mobb Deep to Sadat X to Kool G Rap to Killah Priest to even the greatest that ever did it, the Notorious B.I.G. Some Mc’s don’t have the balls to go line for line against lyrical heavyweight snipers, but in his line of work, R.A. The Rugged Man tested himself and continues to do so. Floyd Mayweather Jr, I mean Money May, I say Money May because after hearing that beatdown it is clear to me and many others out there that money comes first then fame, then style, then swagger, then maybe legacy is somewhere at the end of Mayweathers list. It makes me sick that blind bats will one day vote this fraud into the Hall. Shane Mosley said it best when I spoke to him in Vegas after he called out Money May to his face when Shane told me this: ” It makes me sick that you have a guy like Floyd who calls himself the best and brags about how he is better than the real greats like Robinson, Ali, and others and then admits that he is just here to rob the bank by taking on a guy 2 weight classes smaller and some members of the press see nothing wrong with it, that is what makes me sick!” I feel you Shane. Everyone out there please go out there and cop yourself a copy of R.A. The Rugged Man’s Legendary Classics Vol. 1, it is a must have.
