With several hundreds of eager fans waiting for him even at Friday?s late hours, reigning The Ring?s featherweight champ Manny Pacquiao finally made it to his beloved country, touching down at 9:40 p.m. on board a Northwest Airline flight from Los Angeles at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
The champ was immediately whisked to the airport?s VIP lounge, where he gamely answered queries from media and posed for photo-ops with fans and airport personnel.
Pacquiao, with his team solidly behind him, finally met his adoring fans at around 11 p.m., bringing with him a fresh promise for the multitude of Filipinos that not everything in them is hopeless and lost.
