WBA world featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa had his quick hands and awesome skills on full display as he battered Whyber Garcia moments ago in the co-main event of “Latin Fury 12″ at Madison Square Garden in New York. Garcia managed to keep Gamboa off him in the opening round but it was only a matter of time. In the second and third rounds Gamboa used his lightning fast hands to score from a far. As the minutes went by Gamboa became more and more accurate as he got his timing down. In the opening moments of Round 4 Gamboa caught Garcia with a huge right hand that dropped him face first on the deck. Garcia did manage to get to his feet but Gamboa was like a shark, throwing 37 punches in just over 45 seconds in the opening minute of the round. Finally referee Steve Smoger was forced to waive the fight off to save Garcia at the :58 second mark of Round 4. With the win Gamboa improved to 16-0 (14 KOs). Post fight Gamboa mentioned he is ready for the top names in and around his weight class, including Juan Manuel Lopez.
