RP super featherweight champion Bobby Pacquiao, younger brother of Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao, is the special guest of tonight’s weekly television program “Sports World” hosted by Bobby Inoferio at 9 p.m. on CCTN-47. Pacquiao, along with American boxing manager Michael Koncz, sneaked in Cebu and were chanced upon by Inoferio.
The younger Pacquiao is fighting for a 12-round championship bout for the WBC Continental Americas featherweight title against Mexican Carlos Navarro on June 17 in Table Mountain, Fresno, California.
Pacquiao sports a 21-11-3 win-loss-draw record packed with 9Kos, while the WBC ranked No.14 contender Navarro boasts of a 26-3-1 win-loss-draw ledger.
Pacquiao’s latest victim was the unknown Mexican Oscar Villa, who he dismantled in eight round on November 12, 2004 in Montebello, California.
The Pacquiao-Navarro fight is being supported by the K2 Promotions owned by Russian brothers Vitaly and Vladimir Klitschko.
