Yes, you read it right I called Marquez Magnificent, To me Juan Manuel you will always be Magnificent. Even after a one sided beatdown that you received you still have the heart of a lion and my respect, you are still great. When I saw the fight live, I scored it 116-111, when I got home and watched it again it was more like 117-110 or a shut out, but you took the ”risk” of going up in weight at a weight that you have never fought at before and you gave it a shot. If more fighters like yourself existed out there, by that I mean fighters that are willing to take ”risks” then this sport of ours would be king of all sports. That is why fighters like yourself, Mosley, Pacquiao, Malignaggi, Juarez, and Cotto are a breath of fresh air to me because you all are willing to take the ”risks” even when facing more than just your opponent.[wink, wink, Paulie] Juan Manuel you are a living legend, thanks for everything. Below are my thoughts on things to come for Magnificent Marquez.
1- Michael Katsidis- Katsidis is a rock that only knows to come forward, so is Juan Diaz so you have been there and done that, but many feel that Katsidis is Juan Diaz with power with a lil bit of Arturo Gatti in him.
2- Edwin Valero- The mad scientist versus the monster with hammers as hands. This fight in Mexico would be huge. Valero can fight in Mexico, and Marquez is a god in Mexico, Throw my red headed cousin Saul Alvarez against Julio Cesar Chavez on the co-main event and this fight card in Mexico will be enormous. Azteca Stadium here we come.
3- Ricky Hatton- The return of the Hitman, With your Mexican followers and with Hattons legion of fans following Hatton, it’s a can’t miss.
Next for Floyd you ask?
Well, if it’s not against Mosley or the Pacquiao-Cotto winner then who really cares. If it’s a smaller man again, you can for sure expect the fans with 20/20 vision to throw Mayweather into the furnace.
On a side note:
I for one am very proud of Mosley putting Floyd on the spot. It was classic and not classless. Money May has made a living out of being classless and disrespecting fighters and crashing in on other fighters post conferences and stealing their shine but now that it’s done to him he now has a problem with it? The thing is that Floyd is just upset because he knows that he is not respected so Floyd gets extra annoyed when he is reminded of it. Some may say Shane is just being desperate but how wrong you are for thinking that. Shane is just trying to give us the fights that we deserve to see. I applaud Shane’s hunger and fire, our sport needs more real fighters like Shane Mosley. The biggest thing that annoyed Floyd is that Floyd has made a career out of picking his opponents, Floyd just doesn’t like it when a ”threat” picks him.
Food for thought:
Floyd you are a classic boxer that has the potential to be one of the greatest ever[ I just threw up in my mouth] But you need to really believe in the artwork that you are selling. That is the biggest difference between yourself and Sweet Pea Whitaker. Sweet Pea talked about being the best pure boxer just as you do now, but the difference is that Sweet Pea really believed it. Which is why Sweet Pea had no problem facing monsters in their prime like Oscar, Chavez, and Trinidad even when he knew that they were going to stick him in a small ass ring far far away from home. Sweet Pea took the risk because Sweet Pea is a boxer that truly believed in his skills, or maybe just maybe Sweet Pea knew that he was that much more superior that he didn’t even see the risk.
