I’m beginning to think that Floyd Mayweather Jr will do or say anything to create the hype but “bob and weave” the responsibility of his actions if the hype blows up in his face. Here’s a perfect example of this behavior from Floyd: Action 13 News from Las Vegas has video footage of Floyd Mayweather Jr blaming the WWE for the “bad boy” image that he created.
“Bullet proof vests is just like the armored truck, it’s for entertainment. It’s for boxing entertainment – it’s for 24/7, it’s for the WWE.”
Say what? Bullet proof vests and armored trucks are for the WWE? Are you kidding me? When was the last time Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, John Cena, The Rock, HHH, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle carried bulletproof vests or rode around in armored trucks?
In fact, when was the last time WWE used bullet proof vests and armored trucks to hype up WrestleMania? Vince McMahon is the billionaire owner of the WWE and you don’t see him with armored trucks or bullet proof vests. With all the people he has pissed off over the years, he probably needs both but that’s for another article…
Floyd, this comes down to your desire to create a “bad boy” image for the public. This comes down to your “bad boy” image getting you into trouble because you decided to threaten to shoot someone at a skating rink.
In the same video clip, Floyd gets upset with the reporter who is asking him about his legal troubles.. “”Are we hear to talk positive or are we here to talk negative?”…
Floyd, there wouldn’t be any negative talk if you didn’t do and say so many stupid things. There wouldn’t be any negative talk if you didn’t blame others for your own actions. There wouldn’t be negative talk if you didn’t have bullet proof vests and armored trucks. There wouldn’t be negative talk if the police weren’t executing search warrants at your house. And lastly, there wouldn’t be negative talk if you weren’t seen fleeing the scene of a shooting at a skating rink.
Let me guess, the skating rink incident was the WWE’s fault too…
I understand creating an image to make others believe what you want them to believe. But usually, people grow out of that phase after high school. Floyd, start taking responsibility for your choices and your comments.
Floyd, there’s nobody to blame but yourself for when the “hype” blows up in your face.
