Freddie Roach’s talk of a Hatton-Khan showdown is a real possibility if the Bolton light welterweight wins the WBA title from Ukranian Andreas Kotelnik on July 18 in Manchester England.
Roach believes former world champion Hatton could be tempted by one lucrative final payday if Khan wins. Hatton has not fought since a brutal knockout defeat to Manny Pacquiao in May.
” I’d like to see Hatton retire but I think he’ll want to go after Amir’s title and if he does I’m sure it would be a huge fight. I think it could happen sooner rather than later, to be honest with you. If we win this title he’ll be knocking on our door”. said the American boxing coach n a recent report from Metro, a free London newspaper.
