Los Angeles, CA-World featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao hit the ground here about noon local time Thursday. Fresh off a meeting last week with President Gloria Arroyo of the Philippines, Pacquiao comes to the ?City of Angels? in search of justice. Unless you?ve been under a rock for a month, you know Pacquiao, who lost a 12-round Unanimous Decision to Erik Morales March 19, that he is up in arms that Promoter Murad Muhammad made far more money on the Morales fight then did Manny.

But again, I have to reiterate. Both Pacquiao and his team were duly warned several years ago when I broke down the money Murad got for Pacquiao?s participation in an HBO curtain raiser with Agapito Sanchez. After getting $250,000 from HBO, Murad ended up with the lions share as Pacquiao got only $76,000. And yet after I wrote this, Pacquiao resigned with Murad Muhammad, which still to this day has me perplexed. Then I came to realize exactly who this advisor of Pacquiao Rod Nazario, and his role in the Philippines. His wife is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. And according to Jason Aniel, it was Nazario who pressured Manny to go with Murad.

In his lengthy meeting with President Arroyo last week, the subject of advisor Rod Nazario, and his wife?s position in the Government had to be a topic of conversation. One Filipino wrote me and said they?d never charge Nazario with any crimes because of his wife?s position. ?The Philippines, things are still crooked in government,? said one email from Manila. Manny is once again contending something that I?ve speculated on for a long time, that Nazario and Muhammad in concert, and working as a team did financially rape the ?Pac-Man.?

With a team of Attorneys supposedly already on top of this, Pacquiao is in Los Angeles to meet with them and the man who trains him Freddie Roach. When Roach was reached Thursday morning, he confirmed Pacquiao?s arrival and his mission. ?The Lawyers, they?re already on the case.?
CUT MEANS NO FIGHTING UNTIL AT LEAST OCTOBER!
Having seen the cut, and after consulting with an MD who also saw the laceration, it?ll be four months at least before Pacquiao can start training. And it may be another six weeks to two months before he could begin sparring. The bone-deep cut was a nasty one that affected him in the fight. In the end, Pacquiao lost 7-5 in rounds across the board.
