Manny Pacquiao the source of creative inspiration

Manny Pacquiao inspires works of art. And I received some great poetic feats, a couple of them epic, about the Filipino boxing icon, ahead of his contest with Ricky Hatton.

It has come down to deciding between the best three, ?.and I cannot split them.

Colt 45 and Adeno, both sent masterpieces. Here they are?

I have also sent them off to Freddie Roach for his judgement, but I?d like to know which you think is best. (Be kind to the two writers/poets, please!)

By COLT 45

There is Joy in Senior Floyd There is fun in his mold As every mold have gold A plated one in every fold? ?Cause Hatton will hold, A style need not told?

In the fight night On 2nd May A poet?s face will be in dismay After the 1st round Sr?s fighter will go astray A target open like a field Peppered and battered Lying on the canvas Like a stack of hay For Senior?s pride, It is there to stay,

No matter what, He?s the best trainer On top of a fallen fighter History he can?t alter His piece of work You cant falter

He?ll blame the booze And, too, the wizard of oz What a stir in a coffee A coffee with moose Next in line? He?ll be with his son Together they?ll Show some sound, In fight night, show some snooze

the humble man?Manny? the magnum opus of Freddie? secured in the books? of boxing history? one thing I?ve learnt in life and all the way, there is always a price for every humility

surely, when Money May, doth come back the stars will align? as the whole nation pray, the boxing world watch senior readeth his poetic line lo and behold he cant match as the true King stand the power he can?t catch

Hail Your King

By Adeno

Leave your doubts and fears behind, start your march into the ring, this is no time to be kind, unleash the fury that you bring!

Show no mercy you?re the king, pound his body and crush his heart, if you get hit just raise your arms, retaliate with all your might!

Don?t let others decide the conclusion, for some men were truly born blind, use the speed, use the mind, you can put him down, dismantle this man named Ricky Hatton!

Old man Floyd can talk for eternity, but the ring is no place for poetry, fight for glory and raise your name, Manny Pacquiao is at the top of his game!

I?m called Roach the master planner, I lay the paths for Manny to conquer, I?m his eyes when he cannot see, together we strive for victory!

Prepare the words that meet defeat, watch us celebrate in the ring, I?d love to hear what you have to rhyme, when your boy has fallen for the last time!

Manny and I will rule this world, nobody else deserves his throne, through wars together we shall stand, hail the king, he is Manny Pacquiao, hail the king, he is Manny Pacquiao!

From Adeno:

* For best effect, try to read (or even sing) it along while listening to the HBO 24/7 theme used in the Dela Hoya VS Mayweather and Pacquiao VS Dela Hoya shows (link to the youtube song ->

By Jet

In the beginning, there were two One clothed in red, the other blue Two men step in a square of rage To fight the battle of our age

Both timid men, it does appear But them exactly, all must fear As with each quiet path one treads, Beware the storm that lies ahead

The blue king is Mancurian lore And on his crest, three lions roar Filled with the power of the West Amongst great men, he is the best

On the horizon, this king sees A whirling dervish from the East With speed to put the wind to shame He fights to serve his kingdom?s name

At Blue king?s side, the Jester smiles A master of such cunning wiles Forsaken by his only son He?ll talk until you come undone

Behind Red King, the Mentor stands A fallen warrior with a plan Unlike his voice, his goal is clear: He aims to wipe that Jester?s sneer

The Blue king won, admittedly A game of finger archery Although beyond this sporting tryst There will emerge a war of fists

And oh what wars, these two have fought! Most were victorious, few were not Their last conquests, I must attest Were petty duels, though, at best

Red king felled Golden King of old His prowess shown, though all weren?t sold Was twice his size, but not as bold The glitter was of tarnished gold

The York of New had, Blue King deemed, A worthy warrior, so it seemed The war was waged, and it was seen She was indeed a dancing Queen!

And in the middle, scowls so cruel meet kings, the mentor, and the fool But still the bell tolls just for two and rings again when all is through

Be left to strangers, judgement won?t Lest their verdict, either man haunt And stone for stone, and pound-for-pound they?ll swing till one foe hits the ground

Alas, they shall not be alone Both kingdoms will lift up each throne The soldiers blue shall chant and sing, On the red flanks, his name shall ring

They cheer with each and every blow As with each stagger, cries of woe And when the dust settles that day Some will rejoice amidst dismay

King Red, as always, draws first blood His punches surging on like flood Bewildered by this dance of pain He makes him swing, again in vain

King Blue tries to withstand it all His will, a force immovable His blood spills, yet he marches on That?s why they sing, theres only one

A red tsunami with a cause Such is this violence without pause His kingdom thinks, this win he?s got Invincible, though, he is not

But King Blue knows just what?s at stake One blow to torso?s all it takes Yet, much like finger archery How can you hit what you can?t see?

Still in the end, remain the two One clothed in red, the other blue Will power triumph in the end? Or will speed reign supreme again?
