That good gentleman Sugar Shane Mosley really knows how to step out of character.
It seems that His Sugarship is a bit peeved that his endless pleas to be the next opponent for Manny Pacquiao–all of them pretty please with Sugar Shane on top–have been falling on deaf ears among the public, the media and, most importantly, among Pacman and his promoter Bob Arum.
But now I see that Mosley has taken off the kid gloves. No more Senor Nice Guy for the fighter from the sunshine of Pomona. No more Mr. Cool So Cal act.
Mosley is being all biting, caustic and acerbic. He has even gone so far as to label Arum a puppet master.
Mosley must be following my columns because you just know he picked up on that when I referred to the Top Rank top honcho as a pugilistic Pinocchio the other day.
Now, while hitting Arum low is not even wroth a penalty point, Mosley has insulted the intelligence of the beloved Pacman. He has thus compared Pacquoia to Mike & Ike, they dance alike, they dance for me, they dance for you…bring one home for John & Sue.
Dance Manny dance as Arum pulls your strings.
Funny how Puppet Manny keeps dancing into the bank.
If Mosley thinks this is considered putting someone on major blast in boxing, he needs a wakeup call. This is kindergarten material, conduct best left with the other tots in the sandbox.
Does he think Arum will lose any sleep from being called a puppet master. You could have left it as puppeteer, Shane, but no you had to add the term master.
Arum will probably be bragging about this remark to his Vegas luncheon companions.
By the way, I see that your life as a marionette at Golden Boy isn?t going exactly as you wish.
I mean Oscar and Richie Rich are pushing Floyd Mayweather, Juan Manuel Marquez and maybe Bernard Hopkins next as Manny foes.
At least Arum gets his Manny bobblehead to dance upon command.
How come you can?t get your fellow Goldens to make the same sort of music?
Well, maybe one of these days, Shanester, when you get to be a vice president of the company.
