Andreas Kotelnik, the WBA 140lb champion has fired a broadside at Amir Khan, calling the Boltonian a “child” ahead of their clash at London’s O2 Arena on June 27.
Kotelnik said of Khan, who is in training camp with Freddie Roach in Los Angeles: “He’s a little boy and I am going to take him back to school on June 27 and give him a painful lesson. I’ve got plenty of respect for him for taking the fight – because he’s going to be in for a miserable night.
“It’s going to be fun and easy for me because Khan is nothing special at all.
“He’s got a decent punch, but I took on a supposed banger in my last fight and I took his shots all night long and still beat him.
“I can’t really see the fight going beyond six rounds, and if I land early then I’ll knock him out even quicker than Breidis Prescott did, and that only took 54 seconds.
“What has Khan done apart from beating up an old man in Marco Antonio Barrera and getting knocked out by someone no one had heard of?”
Kotelnik, 31, added: “Everyone is talking about him like he’s some kind of pound for pound legend, but they won’t be after I’ve knocked him out for the second time in his career.
“To be honest, he shouldn’t really be in the same ring as me, because I am an established world champion and he is just a child who has had a couple of lucky wins.”
