There will be no more distractions for Manny Pacquiao when he resumes training in the United States within the next three weeks.
His trainer Freddie Roach told the 26-year-old Pacquiao to prepare for his next fight in July behind closed doors.
?Para maiwasan na rin ang distractions,? said Pacquiao, who lost to Mexican Eric Morales two weeks ago in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao?s training will start immediately when he arrives in Los Angeles, California on April 12.
His next fight could be against Australian International Boxing Federation super featherweight champion Robbie Peden, who challenged the Filipino champion through the www.doghouseboxing.com Web site.
Before his last fight with Morales on March 20, Pacquiao had been practicing in full view of the public at the Wild Card gym in Hollywood.
This time around, Roach is choosing between the privacy of the Big Bear Camp in San Bernardino, Southern California, and the seclusion of Mike Tyson?s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, which is 7,000 feet above sea level.
Roach made this suggestion to Pacquiao after noting the lack of privacy he had when a lot of Filipino well-wishers came over and watched him in training against Morales.
?Pupunta kaming dalawa sa isang lugar na walang istorbo, walang taong makakakita, para sikreto,? said Pacquiao during yesterday?s weekly (Sports Communicators of the Philippines) Scoop session at the Kamayan Restaurant in Padre Faura.
He was one of the main guests a day before he was to receive a special award during the opening ceremonies of the Philippine Basketball League Unity Cup.
