Marco Antonio Barrera has been a great long-time champion, but he was stopped in the 11th round by Manny Pacquiao, a young hard punching southpaw who was a 122 pound champion moving up in weight to 126. Barrera had beaten other southpaws like Hamed and Kevin Kelley, so why did he lose to Pac-man?
Kelley was shot, while Pac is hitting his peak at 24 years of age. Hamed was really short, wild, threw only one or two at a time, and had suspect defense. Pac had more height, threw punches properly, threw in combinations, and kept a tight guard. He had excellent conditioning, setting a consistantly fast pace.
