In a Spanish language report today Venezuelan lightweight Edwin Valero stated that while he will begin training soon for his next fight, a fight with Breidis Prescott is out of the question.
According to Leonardo Duque Rivera, Spanish language boxing scribe, Valero will train in his homeland of Venezuela and his trainer Robert Alcazar will join him.
Valero’s comments about the proposed fight with Brescott are surprising, as in recent weeks Top Rank had informed media outlets that Valero vs. Prescott would headline one of their Latin Fury pay per view shows.
