8CN Pacquiao vs Hatton Team Predictions

Brad Cooney – At the end of the night it will be Manny Pacquiao with his arms raised high. I think Hatton fighting at a much more optimal weight than De La Hoya did, will be strong and will be able to take the beating that will be coming his way. Basically I am saying that Hatton survives the fight, but loses on all 3 cards convincingly. Hatton’s only chance in my opinion is to catch Manny making a mistake, perhaps catching him backing straight up. I don’t foresee the big mistake coming from Pacquiao, Roach will have him ready, and the gameplan at hand. Pacquiao in a convincing UD

Ed Anderson – Pacquiao over Hatton – TKO 7

Don Leopoldo – 6 rounds of a complete beatdown, with a knockout in 7th. Pacquiao KO7

Peter Czymbor – This is the big one. The biggest fight of the year by far. A fight that seemingly will live up to its potential in interest and action in the ring. Ricky Hatton vs. Manny Pacquiao for the junior welterweight championship of the world.

Here?s how I see it play out: Ricky Hatton uses his size and tries to bully Manny, but at times is met with flush straight left hands to his face. Both fighters do considerable work to each other?s body and solid action fight for about 10 rounds. Then in the later rounds, probably round 11, Pacman catches Hatton with an accumulation of shots and wins via TKO.

I won?t count Hatton out though. If Manny can?t handle his body shots or if he himself get?s nailed constantly with Hatton?s left, he could be in trouble. Ultimately though, I think Manny?s speed will be used to negate these possibilities. Pacquiao by late round TKO

Chris Robinson – I think Manny Pacquiao’s speed and youth, being in the prime of his career will make the difference. Pacquiao over Hatton TKO 10

Vivek Wallace – I think Hatton’s pressure to Manny’s body will make the difference. Pacquiao has not felt that kind of pressure to the body in his career from a legitimate 140lb fighter. I predict Hatton will stop Manny Pacquiao in 11 rounds.
