Teen beaten up by boxing champ – over the internet

A teenager has been beaten up by a professional boxer ? but thankfully it was all online using his games console.

George Guest is only 15, but he gave Floyd Mayweather Jr a good run for his money on the Playstation 3.

But poor George was knocked down three times in just one round by the former pro during a bout using the game, Fight Night 3.

The two Playstations were linked over the internet where just about every sport can be enjoyed in multiplayer online games.

At first George had no idea he was taking on the famous star.

But during a real voice chat over headphones, he asked: ?Who do you think you are? Ricky Hatton?”

But he nearly fell to the ground again when the replay came back: ?Actually I’m Floyd Mayweather.”

Ironically, the 32-year-old is the only fighter to beat Englishman Hatton ? that happened during a title fight in Las Vegas in 2007.

George, from Belvedere, thought it was a joke at first, but after more chat, he became convinced he really was up against the real thing, especially when personal pictures started arriving.

He added: ?I didn?t believe him at first but he started talking about his family and his fights and everything.?

The pair chatted about Mayweather?s sparkling career during which he was dubbed ?Pretty Boy Floyd? and called America?s best fighters of all time.

He finally retired as WBC welterweight champion last year, undefeated after 39 professional bouts.

His last victory was in December, 2007, when he dashed Hatton’s hopes of taking the title in Las Vegas.

He held six world titles in several weight categories.

George said: ?I can’t believe it, I went a round with one of the best boxers in the world, and he knocked the granny out of me.

“He was taunting me like Muhammad Ali.” And the young boxing fan added: “I didn’t believe him at first but he started talking about his family and his fights and everything.”

His father Bill, 51, said: ?He was very friendly. He said he was in training for a comeback in Las Vegas.?

Beckenham boxing agent and former British champion and world welterweight title challenger Kevin Lueshing said: ?Floyd is mad on these computer games and plays them all the time.?
