Pacquiao vs Morales
A budding trilogy

“In the end, both ?came with everything? but Manny Pacquiao came up short and Eric Morales squeaked through with a brilliant win over our game but outfoxed GenSan Marvel.

That in a nutshell best describes what happened at the MGM Grand Sunday when the country?s No. 1 fistic draw Manny failed in his bid to topple terrible Eric for bragging rights as the world?s best jr. lightweight.

Whether it was because Morales was adept at ducking Pacquiao?s punches which came in bunches, if I might use that much abused cliche, or so skilled at ducking dangerous punchers like Pacman in the early going or both-the Mexican battler controlled the better part of the slugfest which netted him untold riches plus a chance to add more in a rematch which countless of boxing followers badly want.

Erik?s early disruption of Manny?s rhythm worked exceeding well leading to an emphatic control by the Mexican especially in rounds 2 and 4, capped by a strong wind-up which had the screaming crowd totally enthralled.

The terrific ring battle seen live by a full-sized throng and million others on live or delayed television, paradoxically cemented Manny?s hold on the principals in the division prompting his handlers to call for an outright rematch.

To the chagrin of Marco Antonio Barrera who is hollering for that coveted matchup with his one time tormentor at all costs. It?s all a case of an unfinished business if you ask Barrera and a chance for Pacquiao to crow that his first KO win over the Mexican baby faced assassin was no fluke at all.

Quite a convincing argument but if you ask me, Erik and Manny should promptly start the second part of their budding trilogy which a great many Sweet Science supporters will gladly support.

Keep in mind that Morales and Barrera pocketed fortunes when they concluded their own three-part slugfest.

Pacquiao/Morales could do no less.
