ONE of the two foreign foes who will headline the blockbuster boxing card dubbed ?Judgment at the Waterfront? will arrive today.
Former International Boxing Federation minimumweight king Muhammad Rachman and his entourage, including manager Temuzin Rambing, will land on the Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 10:30 a.m. from Indonesia.
Rachman and his team will then proceed to a press conference at noon at Patio Isabel in Banilad.
The 37-year-old experienced Indonesian boxer will be facing highly-rated ALA boy Milan ?Milenyo? Melindo in a 10-round clash this Saturday at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.
Rachman won the IBF minimumweight title in September 2004 and was dethroned by Filipino pugilist Florante Condes via a split decision in Indonesia in July 2007.
This fight will be Rachman?s third fight outside his country. He had 73 total professional fights.
On the other hand, fellow former world titleholder Roberto Leyva and his team will be arriving at 12:45 a.m. tomorrow.
Leyva will be opposing slick ALA warrior Z ?The Dream? Gorres in a 12-round battle for the World Boxing Organization Oriental bantamweight belt.
Tomorrow, both foreign fighters, Leyva and Rachman, will showcase their boxing prowess for Cebuano fight fans in a public preview at the ALA Gym in Banilad Town Center at 5 p.m.
