ALA Boy Mark Jason Melligen will have a chance to make a name for himself in international boxing as he is scheduled to fight in the United States in March.
Melligen was sent by ALA Promotions to the US to campaign there and will get his big break thanks to Bob Arum?s Top Rank Promotions, which handles the career of Manny Pacquiao.
?Tony Martin talked with Bob Arum and they will be giving Melligen a fight in a small card there,? said ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer.
Although the fight is yet to be finalized next week by Martin, ALA?s representative, Aldguer is optimistic that Melligen will be having his big break in the US.
?This will be good for him. We hope he will be given a fight,? said the young Cebuano promoter.

According to boxrec.com, Melligen is scheduled to fight on March 7 in Denver, Colorado.
Aldeguer said that in these small events, promoters will observe the young talents and then sign them up if they like the fighter.
?They will evaluate him and if he performs well then they will make a deal,? he said ?They will observe you and see your potential.?
The 22-year-old Cebuano light welterweight went to the US with fellow ALA fighter Michael Domingo last November to campaign there.
Melligen, who is currently training at Mayweather?s Gym, only has two international fights. He fought in South Korea and was knocked out by Yong Sung Kimin in the seventh round in 2007. He also fought in Australia last year and stopped Payakchai Sithparadorn in the first round.
