It’s For The Needy, Not The Greedy
Let Golden Boys With Hands In Fighters’ Pockets Take Less!

Hatton-Pacquiao sat on a wall.

Hatton-Pacquiao had a big fall.

But you don?t have to be Humpty Dumpty or all the king?s horses or all the king?s men to see how Hatton-Pacquiao can be reassembled and how contracts can be signed to keep the May 2 MGM Grand date intact.

Gordon Gekko was wrong, greed is not good. In the economic hurricane of 2009, less is not more, it is just less.

Manny Pacquiao, conqueror of Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya, demands a 60-40 revenue split.

He hasn?t forgotten how the Golden Boy gouged him for a 68-32 split in their Dec. 6 bout.

I?d say that burns a hole in Pacman ?s stomach.

He thrashed Oscar and now he feels more glide in his stride, more pep in his step. He is The Man and he wants to make the rules.

So all of the people with a hand in Pacman?s pocket or in Hatton?s money pouch need to take a hit.

Let Bob Arum, multimillionaire, takes less money.

Ditto for De La Hoya and Richie Rich Schaefer. I don?t see them moving to the projects anytime soon, either.

Let Hatton counselor Gareth Williams relax his rates so Hatton pays him less.

Let Todd DuBoef, Arum?s stepson whose father?s wealth makes Arum look like a peon, take less money.

And let?s spread the pain.

Let Setanta Sports pay a bit more money for the rights in the UK.

Let HBO raise their ante somewhat.

Let the Philippine TV rightsholder pay some more.

Let the MGM Grand squeeze extra coins out of its slot machines.

This fight should not be wrecked. It can be saved.

Maybe they can use this as their nickname for Hatton-Pacquiao.

?It?s for the needy, not the greedy.?
