I could demand that Floyd Mayweather come out of hiding but I doubt he?s been in a cave in a remote, mountainous area of Pakistan or anything like that.
You know and I know that Pretty Boy watched Oscar De La Hoya, who he could only outpoint in a split decision, get a career-ending beatdown from Manny Pacquiao Saturday night.
My guess is that the former P4P King of the Ring was watching at his palatial home just a few miles away from the MGM Grand. You know watching on his $50,000 big projection screen.
I asked vanquished Oscar where he thought Mayweather was and he said, “Hey, I’m no stoolie.”
(To get that bad joke, see photo above.)
I doubt Money May was shocked by what he saw but he had to be somewhat stunned by the total one-sidedness of this Manny Massacre.
He has to be scratching his chin whiskers and wondering this pesky little southpaw, just a short while ago a skinny 130-pound champion, sent Oscar to an emergency room.
Imagine that, Pacman even knocked Oscar out of his final postfight press conference. I guess Megamanny does not believe in the more sedate ?Businessman?s Special? type of waltz Floyd and Oscar put on in the same ring.
Come out Floyd, come out wherever you and speak up.
I think you will let Ricky Hatton test Pacman first and then start badmouthing Pacman to build up what will be 2009?s Big Fight. I wouldn’t be surprised if Manny-Ricky is the new year’s second biggest event.
Pacquiao rules supreme right now and I don?t think Mayweather?s as big as all Michigan ego can handle that for long.
Forget Where?s Waldo, it?s Where?s Mayweather time now.
