Pacquiao lives up to ?No Fear? name

Facing his most dangerous foe yet, Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao believes that his fearless outlook and intense preparation are vital ingredients for victory in his March 19 super featherweight showdown with the Mexico?s pride Erik ?El Terible? Morales in Las Vegas.

Having sparred more than 140 rounds since flying to the United States in January, Pacquiao, whose courageous character in and out the boxing arena aptly made him the endorser of US apparel brand No Fear, said he is extremely blessed to have gone this far in his career despite his early struggles in life.

“Mahilig na rin talaga ako sa boksing kahit nung bata pa ako. Mahirap yung simula ko sa boksing dahil kung saan-saan lang ako lumalaban, pero isang malaking bagay na natutunan ko sa trainer ko (Freddie Roach) eh yung mag-train hard at pagkakaroon ng lakas ng loob,” Pacquiao said in an overseas interview.

Pacquiao admitted he had nothing to boast, citing that he owed everything to God, who has blessed him with an awesome punching power and a no fear attitude on top of the ring.

Sure, Morales has the credentials to back him up, as well as the long line of boxing experience, but Pacquiao is unfazed, saying the season of learning he has gone through, has prepared him for his date with destiny.

“Pinagbubutihan ko talaga ang pag-eensayo ko at natutulog ako ng maaga,” added the 26-year-old pride of General Santos, who also earned the monicker “Pac-Man.”

Morales himself, admitted in recent news that he?s preparing for Pacquiao?s power and speed, something that has carried the Filipino Ring Magazine featherweight champion to successful fights in the past few years.

“Para sa akin kasi, kapag sinabing No Fear, matapang, walang takot sa lahat ng laban,?? explained the diminutive Filipino who dreamed, struggled, and triumphed to become the biggest name in the boxing world today.
