As excitement builds up towards the explosive battle between Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao and former three-time world champion Erik ?El Terrible? Morales on March 20 (Manila Time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, fans are flocking to the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles to get a last chance to see their hero, Pacquiao, in training.
Filipino fight fans here at home can get a sense of what its like in two, two-hour specials to be telecast on March 6 and 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. over RPN 9 presented by SMART Communications Inc. The specials include exclusive footage of the incredible training routine of Pacquiao as well as Morales training in the mountainous region of Otomi away from his bustling training camp in the city. The show also highlights interviews with both fighters and their sparring partners as well as trainers Freddie Roach and Jose Morales, father ? trainer of Erik.
Morales refused to break his strategy of not allowing any footage of his sparring but Pacquiao had no such restrictions and while Morales trained in seclusion, Pacquiao was surrounded by fans from all over as he trained at the Wild Card Gym, signed autographs and posed for photos.
