AFTER knocking out Bobby Pacquiao, Fahprakorb Rakkiatgym of Thailand now trains his sights on International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Association featherweight titlist Juan Manuel Marquez.
Not only that, Rakkiatgym, the IBF world no. 3 contender, wants to avenge his loss to Manny Pacquiao, Bobby’s more illustrious brother who knocked the Thai out in the first round in 2002.
“Rakkiatgym is now ready to meet the IBF 126 pound champion Marquez. I am sure Rakkiaygym will defeat Juan Marquez and set up a return bout with Manny Pacquiao,” said his promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang.
“Fahprakorb has the tools and the desire to defeat Manny Pacquiao,” he added.
Rakkiatgym stopped Bobby Pacquiao in the ninth round Friday in Pattaya, Thailand to retain his IBF Pan Pacific featherweight title.
Rakkiatgym floored the younger Pacquiao with vicious body blows in the 9th. The Filipino was counted out by the referee.
Manny Pacquiao had stopped Rakkiatgym in the first round when the former was defending his then IBF super bantamweight title here in Davao City.
