According to industry sources, WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has been offered a dream fight with division No.1 and WBA/IBF kingpin Juan Manuel Marquez for May 7.
Two-time WBO champ Harrison has been desperate to break into the big time but his chance has come just two weeks after his lethargic and – in moments – desperate effort against fading challenger Victor Polo.
Harrison could only manage a draw despite home advantage but would be a fool to turn down a Las Vegas clash with the ultra-talented Mexican.
Marquez found himself without a natural opponent when nemesis Manny Pacquiao – with whom he drew with one year ago – accepted a better offer to move up to super-featherweight to face Erik Morales.
