Pacquiao ex-handler says Oscar is ?dangerous?

Manny Pacquiao?s former manager Rod Nazario said the Oscar de la Hoya fight would be the ?biggest and most dangerous ever? for the Filipino champ.

He cited the obvious reasons like weight, height and reach difference between the two ring megastars, whose respective agents are furiously moving heaven and earth to forge a Dec. 6 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

?I think Manny is in danger, I think De la Hoya is too big for him, he might be able to handle Manny?s punches, but Manny might not be able to handle De La Hoya?s punch,? Nazario told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The weight difference, he continued, would be palpable up in the ring though both camps appeared to have agreed at the 147 lbs.

?When they go up the ring, De la Hoya would weigh at least 160 lbs, while Manny is 148 lbs at the heaviest and he would then be bloated,? he added.

That?s precisely the reason De la Hoya?s power won?t be drastically affected even though he will be fighting at that weight class for the first time since he stopped Arturo Gatti on March 24, 2001.

Still, Nazario acknowledged, like anybody else, that it would be the crown jewel in Pacquiao?s illustrious career.

?He can retire after that if he wants,? said Nazario who suggested that Pacquiao asks for no less than $20 million for the fight.
