Z ?The Dream? Gorres will get another chance for a world title, this time in Macau against a familiar foe?Fernado Montiel.
ALA Promotions President Michael Aldeguer was informed yesterday by renowned International matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz that Top Rank has offered Gorres to fight Montiel in a rematch along with fellow Filipino pugilists International Boxing Federation and International Boxing Organization flyweight champion Nonito ?Filipino Flash? Donaire and Brian ?Hawaiian Punch? Viloria.
If the fight pushes through, Gorres will be one of the three Pinoys in world title fights in the same card.
Also set to fight in the card is Donaire against Moruti Mthalane for his IBF flyweight crown and Brian Viloria against reigning IBF light flyweight king Ulises Solis.
?We got a call from Sampson that there is an offer by Top Rank to fight Montiel,? Aldeguer told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday.
Aldeguer said he will clear things first with Gorres, Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) Vice-president Eric Gomez and the whole ALA team if they approve of the offer.
Gorres lost a controversial split decision in his first title shot against Montiel last year.

The fight is almost a done deal since Aldeguer?s decision is leaning on this offer rather than have the 26-year old ALA boy go into another title eliminator, possibly against Jorge Arce, to get a crack at the IBF super flyweight title recently won by Vic ?The Raging Bull? Darchinyan.
?We are more inclined to the offer of fighting Montiel because it?s a one shot deal to fight for a championship,? said Aldeguer. ?This will be a chance for Z to fight for a championship. We are disappointed with IBF because it?s ridiculous to fight for another eliminator. It doesn?t make sense.?
Gorres and Darchinyan?s IBF title eliminator for the no.1 contender spot ended in a controversial draw last Feb. 2 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.
Aldeguer will first ask for the clearance of GBP, talk about the purse for the fighters and to ask for neutral officials as to prevent controversy in their upcoming rematch.
?If all is well there will be no reason not to accept the offer. The fight is on.?
