COMEBACKING Matthew Arcillas of Zamboanga City is fighting Jingle Labtic of Agusan del Sur for the vacant MinProBa lightweight championship on August 9 at Barangay Culianan in Zamboanga City.
The 34-year-old Arcillas [8-5-0, 7KOs] made his comeback last December 19, 2025 when he beat Jason But-ay by a unanimous decision in Zamboanga.
He briefly stopped boxing after losing to Alan Alberca by a 2nd round knockout last February 20, 2023 in Zamboanga Sibugay.
The 25-year-old Labtic [4-2-0, 4KOs], on the other hand, won two bouts last year against Rodelyn Perez [2nd round TKO] and Zepril Sitio [3rd round TKO].
The 8-round title-bout is promoted by City Councilor Rolando “Junnie” Navarro Jr. with Nestor Languido as the matchmaker.
