MANY boxing fans believe that Filipino ring hero Manny Pacquiao will knock out three-time world champion Erik Morales of Tijuana, Mexico in their pay-per-view boxing promotion ?Bring It On? on March 19 at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
To promote the fight, promoters Murad Muhammad and Bob Arum of Top Rank will bring the Filipino icon to Mexico for a big media event.
This after the press conference last week at the Beverly Hills Hotel that formally announced the Pacquiao-Morales fight.
However, no news was mentioned if the promoters will likewise bring Morales to the Philippines for the same media blitz.
In an online poll by mannypacquiao.ph, 89.5 percent of the 2,454 respondents believe that Pacquiao will inflict the same suffering that two other Mexican fighters endured.
Pacquiao knocked down Marco Antonio Barrera three times en route to an 11th-round technical knockout win. He also dropped Juan Manuel Marquez three times in the first round and the fight was declared a draw after 12 rounds.
Only 4.6 percent of the respondents believe that Morales will win by knockout, 3.1 percent say Pacquiao will win by decision, and 2.2 percent say Morales will win by decision. The remaining .5 percent believe the fight will end up a draw.
The poll also reported that 18.3 percent believe Pacquiao?s knockout win will come within the first three rounds, 14.7 percent say it will be inside five rounds, 14.1 says it will in the sixth and 13.9 believe it will be in the fourth.
The online survey is expected to raise Pacquiao?s odds, which started at 1.6:1.
The result of the survey is also believed to boost the fight?s pay-per-view earnings, which is foreseen to overtake the $15 million mark of the Barrera-Morales fight last November.
