Sirimongkhol, Midgley Make Weight for WBF World Title in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand — Sirimongkhol Ieamthuam, Thailand's veteran former world champion, and Nick Midgley, the taller and muscular Australian warrior, successfully made weight for their 12-round title clash.

The local fighter, Sirimongkhol (101-7, 64 KOs), tipped the scales at 90.6 kilos, while hard-swinging Midgley (11-3, 9 KOs) of Melbourne weighed in at 90.8 kilos.

The two fighters will engage in battle for the vacant WBF (World Boxing Foundation) Cruiserweight World Title on Saturday, October 18, in Prathumthani, Thailand.

Promoted by Samita Xanthavanij of Big Joe Promotions, the fight is bring supervised by Alvin S. Go from Cavite, Philippines.

The stage is set, and the question is who will become “The New!”
