Manny Pacquiao produced a perfect left hook to knockout David Diaz in the ninth round and claim the WBC lightweight world title at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, USA on Saturday night.
If there was any doubt about Pacquiao?s credentials as the world?s best, pound for pound fighter prior to this fight, there in no such doubt now. Pacquiao schooled a very good fighter in Diaz and completely dominated the brave Chicago based fighter from the opening bell.
The end came after 2:24 of the ninth round when a perfect left hook knocked a tired and battered Diaz to the floor for the full count.
