WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, from Mexico, has confirmed that "There will be NOT DRAWS. The judges' ratings will be the same as in all other boxing events, but in the event of a tie, we will use the qualitative scoring system. To be clearer, the judges' scorecards have, in addition to the box for marking numerical scores (10, 9, etc.), a couple of boxes for the level of advantage by which the round was won: C (close), M (moderate), D (decisive), and E (extreme). Each level is worth one point, and this is how the round will be scored and will serve as a tiebreaker.

Open Scoring. The official judges' evaluations will be released at the end of the second and fourth rounds, giving corners the opportunity to adjust their strategy and also bringing greater transparency to our sport."
