Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has said possibly the shrewdest thing out of anyone here after the Dubois knockout loss below.
Timing is everything in professional sport and life. Sometimes, sure, you can put the foot on the gas if you want to right now and do great things right now, if you want.
But sometimes it is just better to wait, hang back, chill and Eddie Hearn is spot on with this for Anthony Joshua to wait until after Dec 21:
We live in an animal-like, depraved, humans being less than dogs time in humanity at the moment, but professional sport amid all the mayhem and mucus and slime is a beaming light of greatness and a diamond amid evil garbage.
Boxing does this better than any professional sport and class acts like athletes Joshua and sports promoters Hearn above must be commended in the UK and by their government who would do well to fund more boxing programs after frankly such a spectacular success of an event for society at large last weekend — with 98,000 plus fans at Wembley Stadium leaving happy after seeing maybe the best fight they had ever seen in their lives.
