Mexican Pedro Guevara scored a controversial split-decision victory to claim the WBC interim junior bantamweight title over Australia’s Andrew Moloney at RAC Arena on Sunday.
Judges scored the fight 115-113, 113-116, 115-113 in Guevara’s favour with Moloney’s corner, and most of the crowd, believing the Australian had done enough to win over 12 rounds.
