World Bantamweight ruler Gerry Penalosa, who for the longest time has been angling for a bout with tormentor Daniel Ponce De Leon, recently expressed his willingness to battle newly-crowned super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez of Puerto Rico.
Penalosa was the main guest of Monday?s ?Sports Chat? heard live over DZSR Sports Radio 918kHz (M-F 8:15-9AM).
Penalosa however said it may take some effort to make the fight happen as the ageless Filipino champion is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) while Lopez fights under the Top Rank, Inc. banner.

The undefeated Lopez (22-0, 20 KO?s) captured the 122-lb crown by stopping De Leon (34-2, 30 KO?s) in the first round last weekend in Atlantic City.
