Tim Tszyu vs. Carlos Ocampo results, highlights: Tim Tszyu lands devastating 1st-round knockout victory

Tim Tszyu has put an exclamation mark on his claim to the super-welterweight title with a stunning first-round demolition of Carlos Ocampo in the Gold Coast on Sunday.

The Aussie was expecting to be made to work for the victory but in the end he got the job done in just over a minute.

Tszyu’s power was on full display from the outset as he landed a clean 1-2 with the first punches he threw.

A right hand then stunned his opponent as Tszyu smelled blood in the water.

Ocampo went down following a flurry and while he did answer the count, the writing was on the wall.

Tszyu swarmed following the restart and landed a clean left hook to send the experienced Mexican crashing into the ropes and seeing referee Danrex Tapdesan wave the bout off.
