Ubiquitous fight agent Sampson Lewkowicz, who always has an agenda but is never shy with opinions, thinks that triple belted world champion Nate Campbell has committed hara-kiri.
?Nate Campbell says his promoter, Don King, is the greatest. Nate Campbell insults other promoters and network executives. He disrespects people and then he wants respect. Nate Campbell is going to fight out next week (May 27) how much Don King thinks of him in the WBO purse bid to fight Joel Casamayor,? Lewkowicz said.
?Campbell-Casamayor will never happen. What will happen is that Campbell will wind up fight Joan Guzman and Guzman will kick his ass.?
What of his guy, Rocky Katsidis, who I reported Tuesday is closing in on a fight against the unbeaten fighter who Campbell thrashed to win the WBO, IBF and WBA 135-pound belts, Juan ?Baby Bull? Diaz.
Lewkowicz did not deny that Kastidis-Diaz has been heavily discussed with Golden Boy officials but said ?I don?t have a final confirmation on that.?
Cool Hand Lewk also put in a plug for AJ Banal, the Filipino fighter he represents. Lewk said that he has zero doubt that Banal will beat Panama?s Rafael Concepcion in Cebu July 19 to become a world champion.
?I have worked with one Pinoy idol, Manny Pacquiao, and now I have another Pinoy idol on the rise. Make no mistake. AJ Banal will be a big star.?
