Even if it means he will celebrate Christmas away from his loved ones. This as Chi temporarily left his homeland to train at the ALA Boxing Gym in Nasipit, Talamban, where he is set to put up the finishing touches of his torrid preparation for his WBC title defense against Australian Tommy Browne on January 30, 2005 in Seoul, South Korea.
Chi, who opted to train at Cebu?s famous sweat shop owned by sportsman Antonio ?Bidoy? Aldeguer because of the freezing weather in Korea, is ably aided in his daily workout by ALA Gym chief Edito ?ALA? Villamor.
Chi, who sports a 29-2-1 win-loss-draw record spiked with 18KOs, will risk for the second time the WBC 126 pounds crown he won after knocking out Briton Michael Brodie in the seventh round on April 10, 2004 at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, England.
The 27-year-old Chi scored a 10th round TKO victory over Japanese Eiichi Sugama during his first defense last July 24 at the Marriott Hotel in Seoul.

No deal has been sealed though as Chi demanded one-million dollar purse for a fight with Pacquiao, who became a hot commodity in the world boxing market after dismantling Mexican great Marco Antonio Barrera in 11th round last year.
