KELL BROOK finally got the validation he’s craved for years with a stunning stoppage of Amir Khan.
After years of trash talk, the 35-year-old pair locked horns in a long-overdue domestic dust-up at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night.
Former light-welterweight champ Khan went into their clash brimming with supreme confidence from a sparring session 17 years ago.
But his confidence proved to be misplaced as he was decimated by Sheffield slugger Brook.
Khan looked to use his speed early and came close to landing a leaping lead hook.
Brook was happy to hold the centre of the ring as he used head movement to avoid the shots coming his way.
And he wobbled the Olympian twice with a straight left hand before going in for the kill.
Khan survived both storms and rattled the steel City slugger with a good counter shortly before the end of the round.
