MANILA, Philippines?Other than pursuing his bid for a rematch with tormentor Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez has another reason why he is in Manila.
On Sunday, hours after blowing into town, the former World Boxing Council super featherweight champion from Mexico announced on national television that he?s going to do a product commercial.
But Marquez, who arrived with trainer Freddie Roach, did not disclose details of the commercial shoot.
Reliable sources, however, said the shoot is likely to be held on Tuesday.
Interviewed again on ANC Monday, Marquez reiterated his call for Pacquiao to fight him under any terms.
In the same interview, Pacquiao chided Marquez for being a cry baby as the Mexican continued to insist he won their March 15 fight in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao, who flew back to Gen. Santos City after watching ?Invasion: Philippines vs the World? fight card on Sunday featuring Gerry Pe?alosa, stressed that he?s willing to wage a third fight with Marquez.
The rematch, though, will have to be agreed upon by his promoter Bob Arum and Marquez?s handlers (Golden Boy Promotions).
