San Francisco, CA- Having thought I had seen all the bullspit that boxing fans could come up with, it turns out I was wrong. For some Mexican fans to post a thread here at www.RingTalk.com accusing Manny Pacquiao, the WBC 130 lb. champion, of taking Steroids, this I admit was a first! Look, I can see some folks being disappointed or disenchanted with the decision giving Pacquiao the fight over Juan Manuel Marquez, but to try and trash his reputation with drug charges is not only wrong, it?s cowardly.
PINOY FANS WERE OUT OF LINE TOO!
The Filipino fans were off the wall post fight, especially seeing I had scored it (as did Emanuel Steward) 115-112 for Marquez. But to try and tie the Filipino icon to using performance enhancing drugs was beyond unwarranted. Granted, Manny turned professional at 107 lbs., he now weighs better than 145 come fight time. But, he was reed-thin and much smaller, as are a lot of fighters from Asia and the Philippines.
WHAT CAN STOP THE HATING/SNIPING?
The only way we are going to stop the back and forth sniping is for Pacquiao to ?man up? and fight Marquez a third time. I?ve been doing this longer than a lot of you have been alive. And yet, I?ve never seen such backbiting, name calling, and all around poor sportsmanship, and this is coming from both sides of the fence, Pacquiao fans and Marquez backers.

There is certainly enough money for these two to clash once more. Pacquiao fighting the ?lame? WBC 135 lb. trinket holder David Diaz in his next fight is nothing more than a grab at a worthless lightweight belt seeing Nate Campbell is the man at 135. This is something the Pacman will never do. And I don?t care what Pacquiao, trainer Freddie Roach, or as ?Flash? Gordon used to call promoter Bob Arum, Massa? Bob, fighting Diaz is akin to taking the ugliest, and most undeserving girl to the prom.
