Ringside seats for the 21 August welterweight war starring Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas are selling at a premium.
One ticketing agency has gotten hold of the coveted tickets and has started peddling it online.
A floor seat is being sold at $10,120 although it is even on Row F, not the one directly fronting the ring.
Tickets went on sale yesterday with the cheapest pegged at $105 and priciest at $2,505 but the scalpers immediately got hold of the most-sought after and are now dangling it to those willing to pay four times the retail.
“This is the event that brings Las Vegas back. No one seems to care about the heavyweight title fight (between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder next month),” noted fight publicist Fred Sternburg said.
Spence is staking the World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation crowns while Pacquiao is expected to risk his soon-to-be-installed World Boxing Association (WBA) jewels.
The Venezuela-based WBA is working on to award the Filipino eight-division champion back the 146-lb diadem that it took away due to Pacquiao’s inactivity.
Spence, younger by more than 10 years at 31, is the massive betting favorite although hardcore ringsiders swear it will be foolish to count Pacquiao out given his solid track record.
This will mark the first time in over two years that Pacquiao is fighting since his last outing took place against Keith Thurman in July 2019.
Spence has been relatively busier, having fought and defeated one-time Pacquiao sparmate Shawn Porter in September 2019 and Danny Garcia in December last year.
