A 59-year-old man in Zamboanga City died Sunday while watching the boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Mexican boxer Juan Miguel Marquez on television.
ABS-CBN Regional Network Group reported that Rolando Pada suffered a heart attack while watching the fight on TV inside his home in Barangay Tumaga, Zamboanga City.
Doctors said the victim, a former employee of a printing press, had a myocardial infarction.
They said it was possible that Pada got over-excited, causing his blood pressure to shoot up while viewing the match.
Pada?s relatives said they are not blaming for the death because he was fan the Filipino boxer.
Pacquiao won the WBC super featherweight crown from Marquez via a split decision.
