Two days ago, a $100 bet on the proposition that the fight won?t last the distance wins $155. Now it?s down to +125, meaning your $100 can only win $125.
Those who believe that the fight will last the distance still need $145 to win a hundred bucks. Last Thursday, they needed more, $165 to win a hundred bucks.
It was the same scenario in Pacquiao?s fight against Marco Antonio Barrera last October. A lot had hoped for a knockout, only to see the fight lasting the distance.
Pacquiao remained the favorite to win, but it?s the question of whether or not the fight will last the distance.
Pacquiao was at -235 midnight of Friday and Marquez at +195. A week ago it was around -190 for the Filipino and +155 for the Mexican.
Marquez winning by knockout hardly has any following, and a $1 bet on this proposition wins $5. You get nothing more than what you place if you bet on a Pacquiao KO.
For a draw, a dollar wins $12.
The biggest returns are offered if you bet on Marquez winning by knockout inside three rounds, with a dollar returning forty bucks. It?s down to $35 for rounds four to six, $30 for seven and eight, $25 for nine and 10, and $20, for every dollar, for rounds 11 and 12.
If Pacquiao wins by knockout inside three rounds, a dollar becomes $18, then from rounds four, five and six $15, seven and eight $12, nine $8, 10 goes for $10, and rounds 11th and 12th pays $8 for every dollar.
