Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao said Thursday that his Thai opponent Fahsan “3K Battery” Por Thawatchai has two weaknesses that could lead to defeat in their scheduled showdown on Saturday.
“He’s slow and he has a weak belly. I don’t think he has time to toughen up before Saturday,” he told DZMM’s “Tambalang Failon at Sanchez” program.
Pacquiao predicted a knockout “before the 6th or 8th round” but he admitted: “I can’t say if it would be me or him.”
He credited his opponent for beating at least 20 Filipino opponents, which earned the Thai boxer the nickname ?The Filipino Destroyer.?
Pacquiao said their fight is a 12-round main event of the ?Yanig sa Taguig? boxing card at the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig on Saturday.
He said the winner of the fight earns the No. 2 rank behind World Boxing Association/IBF champion Juan Manuel Marquez.
Whatever the outcome, Pacquiao said he is gearing up for his rematch against Marquez on Feb. 26 either in Las Vegas or Nevada. The two fighters battled to a draw last May.
