LAS VEGAS?Bobby Pacquiao takes another stab at glory when he tangles with unbeaten Urbano Antillon on Thursday at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Training alongside his superstar brother Manny for two months at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Bobby feels he?s ready to stop Antillon?s 21-win streak highlighted by 14 knockouts.
?Talagang pinaghandaan ko ang labang ito (I really prepared hard for this fight),? said the 27-year-old Bobby, a former World Boxing Council International super featherweight titlist. ?Let?s just wait and see what will happen in the ring.?
Bobby, a southpaw like Manny, is gunning for his 28th win in 42 bouts with 12 losses and three draws. He checked in at 133 pounds, a pound lighter than Antillon.
The 25-year-old Antillon, based in Maywood, California, was born and raised in Mani-quipa, Mexico.
Antillon, whose last three bouts did not go beyond three rounds, said he?s going to beat Bobby in order to preserve his bid for a future bout against Manny.
Antillon and Bobby have one thing in common?both own victories over Fernando Trejo. Bobby stopped Trejo by fourth-round TKO last November while Antillon eked out a split decision verdict over Trejo in 2006.
