Pacquiao appointed member of Army’s advisory board

The Philippine Army on Wednesday welcomed Sen. Manny Pacquiao as a member of the Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board (PA MSAB).

According to the Philippine Army’s Facebook account, Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay led the oath taking and pinning of the Army Transformation Roadmap pin to Pacquiao through a video conference.

Pacquiao is a military reservist with the rank of colonel in the Reserve Force of the Philippine Army.

“I am glad that today, we have added a world-class partner in our pursuit of good governance,” said Gapay.

“As a member of the Board, your role in bridging the gap between the Philippine Army, the private sector, and civil society is indeed invaluable. We look forward to your winning form, the fulfillment of our Army Transformation Roadmap in 2028.”

Pacquiao first entered the army’s reserve force on April 27, 2006, as a sergeant.
