A young lady rushed to Manny Pacquiao as he entered the Davao City boxing gym Tuesday. With a smile on her face, she immediately pulled out a pen and a paper, and handed it to the boxer.
Pacquiao, wearing his trademark No Fear shirt and shorts, smiled back and readily affixed his signature on the paper, sending the lady grinning from ear to ear.
The autograph seeker is one of the many individuals who flocked the gym since Pacquiao went into a rigid training, and since his famed American trainer Freddie Roach arrived in the city Monday.
For five straight days now, the once quiet boxing gym located at the back of Almendras gym was teeming with people, all coming to see their beloved boxer prepare for his coming fight with Thai Fahsan 3K Battery.
The crowd include journalists, office workers, local boxers and even kids, who marvel even at the mere sight of Pacquiao doing shadow boxing atop the ring.
At one point during the sparring sessions, the crowd let out a rousing applause after Pacquiao delivered a two-punch combination against RP lightweight champ Fred Montilla.
