THE Dream is unflinching.
Z ?The Dream? Gorres says Australian Vic Darchinyan?s threats don?t move him a bit and he is going tooth and nail for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) super flyweight title eliminator bout this Feb. 2 at the Watrerfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
?I?m not daunted even a bit about his threat to knock me down. Let?s see how the fight goes,? said the determined Gorres, who has a 27-2-1 KOs card.
Online news reports had said that Darchinyan had continuously sworn to knock Gorres out, and the former had reiterated his threat when he arrived in Cebu.
Darchinyan, who has a 29-1, 23 KOs card, arrived in Cebu City last Saturday and held a public workout last Monday at the ALA Gym at the Banilad Town Center.
Gorres, on the other hand, said he feels even more fit now than in his previous fights.
?I had the most intense preparation now, my condition is great, and my focus is great,? said Gorres.
?I won?t promise to knock him down, but I will show him some boxing lessons,? he said.
A press conference for the fight dubbed ?Now or Never? will be held at the Caspian Room at the Waterfront Hotel this 3 p.m. (ESL)
